I have 285/75-16 on my stock rims and fit just fine. Now a 305/70-16 is the same as a 285/75-16 with regards to height, but the width is increased by 1.5" I beleive it is. On turning you may rub rear lip of front fender. I ahev sen stock trucks run the 305 size with no mods and no rubbing and I have seen same year trucks with rubbing only on full turning of steering capacity. If you go off road and flex your suspension at all I wouldnt recommend the 305's w/o at least a 1-2" lift
