2005 Chevy Electrical Problems

Hey Everyone,

I've got a 2005 Chevy Silverado Z71 with 14000 kms on it, and have just noticed a recurring electrical problem in the truck. Sometimes when I start it up and am sitting inside, I can hear a quite loud pulsing buzz in the cab. It'll usually go away if I turn the truck off and then turn it back on. Then I realized that the fans for the HVAC are pulsing as well. They turn on for a few seconds, turn off, then turn back on. This problem has just shown up in the last month and is starting to make me nervous as I'm selling the truck to my sister so that she'll have a reliable vehicle to use for university.

Does anyone have any idea what may be causing this? Any help would be wonderful so that I can avoid having to take the truck to the dealership without knowing what needs to be fixed, and have them say that nothing is wrong.

Possible Ignition switch. Have seen some cause strange problems on start up but its kinda hard to diag. with the info. Might want to take it to a dealer and have them check codes. Don't be afraid, dealers are usually cheaper that the independents (thats a little know secret). :banghead:
