BlackSilver Posted April 6, 2006 Posted April 6, 2006 My truck required new injectors at 87,000 miles. The $4,500 replacement job was covered by GM (3 out of 8 were bad but they replaced them all). I'm now at 92,000 miles and getting closer to the magic 100,000 mile mark when the next $4,500 set of injectors will be on MY dime. Is it time to cut and run, or was the first failure a fluke?
bluenote Posted April 7, 2006 Posted April 7, 2006 GM extended the warranty for the injectors up to 7 years/200K for 2001-2002 trucks. I believe they have also covered most other LB7 model year trucks with injector problems under that same warranty. Check with your dealer, but you are probably fine.
ChevyTech007 Posted April 7, 2006 Posted April 7, 2006 d**n that is a nice lookn' rig. You got me drooling. They did up the warranty and also improved them. Don't worry, be happy. Do yourself and your D-Max a favor and change your fuel filter every 15,000.
