On my 04 burb (tan) dash I just notice a little black dot, I tried to clean it off only to find that it comes off easy to expose more black. Is this covered under warrnety ? Can I fix it before it spreads ?

This could be easily fixed with the correct spray touch up paint. Ask the GM dealer if they sell the matching paint. If it is a tiny spot, I would rather fix it myself than have them replace the whole dash (if they would even do it for that).

I bought my 2002 Sierra with the tan interior used in Summer 2004, and the dash part above the radio had worn about a 2" by 1" rectangle where your fingers sit when you are pressing the buttons on the radio from the previous owner. I would be interested in the part numbers if anyone ever finds out what color paint from GM for this if it exists.

This is covered under warranty, it happend to my 02 and now on my 04, it seems that most all of the interior parts are painted. and once it starts to peal it will take off, and keep coming off.

I'm in the same situation... It's tough to keep my hands away from the top part of the dash when I change stations...almost feels retarded not to rest my hand on the top of the dash...but it keeps more of the dash paint from flaking off.

I'm not certain if my issue is the same however, on my 05' Sierra(gray int. mind you) I hang those tree air freshners from my hot/cold controls. Just from one of them swinging back in forth while driving it wore off the paint on the plastic dash. Cheap paint or not enough of it if you ask me. So I CAN get some touch up paint for it??

Some body listen. Anyone have an answer to our questions about this dash paint problem ?? Seems to be we hit on a problem that no one knows the answer to. Maybe on the GM tech forum we can get some help

GM does not sell interior touch-up paint.

Our body shop here has mixed interior touch-up paint to do repairs in the past on customers vehicles but I've never seen them sell it,allthough I'm sure they would if someone needed it.

On these dash panels for our trucks,In the past we've changed them under warranty for customers if there truck was under warranty,If they were not under warranty we would price them both a new panel and a price on refinishing their existing panel.

We haven't changed very many since these trucks came out in '99,Maybe 3 or 4 that I can remember.
