New Rhino liner installed

Got the over the rails Rhino liner done today. Looks sharp. Was debating whether or not to match the color of the truck (dark blue metallic) or go with the standard black. Went with the black and looks great on it! I know after time, it will fade, no big deal.

Also got some molded mud flaps (that go with the fender flares) that have the little bowtie on them. They look good too..

Next up, gonna find a little "Calvin" sticker peein on the ford emblem!

More updates to follow.

What made you decide to go over the rails?

I like the look of the rhino lining but I think that bedcaps are better, just don't like the way it blends on the side of the vehicle.

Plust bedcaps are another place to put some Diamondex!! BO YA!!

I also have over the rails Rhino-liner and have loved it since I got it, 2+ years now.

I went over the rails to protect the top of the bedsides when I am throwing stuff in the truck or climbing in or out of the bed. I don't particularly like things that are double sided taped to my truck, which is why I didnt go with the aluminized bed rail caps. Plus, the Rhino liner is more durable in my opinion and it isnt slippery when wet.

About the blending, the place where i had it done taped it very well and its right at the bodyline, so it isnt noticable at all. But I also have the dark grey metallic paint.

I have a line-x in mine with over the rails. I bought it that way, if I were to do it I probably wouldn't have done it but it looks alright, but my truck is black so it blends right in. This stuff is great I wish I would have put this in my old rig instead of that stupid plastic bed liner.

I had a plastic drop in liner that went over the rails, which scratched the box all up!! :D It blew out when I was in Wyoming (it's windy up there) so I put the spray liner in over the rails. Matches the color of my truck, looks good!

Yeah plastic bedliners are crap in my opinion also.

I do like the looks of the rhino/lineX. Plus it keeps your truckbed looking nice.

Had those plastic black rail coverings. Didnt care for those at all. The ends closest to the cab, were kinda bending upwards, was afraid of getting dirt or crud under there, then having the plastic rub on that, getting scratches, and who knows, eventually getting rust.

I like how it turned out, having it done over the rails. Just got done washing the truck. Liner is still a bit tacky, but with the sunshine out today, not too worried.

I ll take pictures soon.

Later
