off topic.. hmm.. what about music? What do you have playing in your cd player right now? I got an album called "Electric Radio" by Shooter Jennings. Its pretty cool. Have you heard it? Its got a Country/Rock feel to it. www.shooterjennings.com.. sound familiar? My buddy at work (UMVD) told me that he's the son of Waylon Jennings and Jessi Colter. The lyrics on the CD are interesting

Yea....my girlfriend is a big 3 Doors Down fan and I'm taking her to see them. Shooter Jennings supposed to opening for 3 Doors who is opening for Skynard. I'm a big progressive rock guy, so its not really my style, but we'll see.

Is Shooter Jennings the one who does "She don't lke to play my kinda music"? That's my favorite country song right now but I haven't caught the name of the band/artist.

My musical interest is wide... for the most part I'm mostly into Heavy Rock/Metal, a little Country, and a little rap.

My current favorite songs rght now:

Matisyahu- "King without a crown" (if you haven't heard it, I recommend it, It's got a cool twist to it)

Nonpoint- "Bullet with a name"

Blue October- "hate me"

Rob Zombie- "Foxy Foxy" (it has some of the stupidest lyrics I've ever heard, but it's a good jammin song so I like it anyway)

The forementioned "She don't like to play my kinda music"

Trace Atkins- Honkytonk Badonkadonk (I sing along everytime I hear it)

I'm really diggin' Cross Canadian Ragweed. They got a country/rock feel. I've got three of their albums and you can listen to 'em all straight through. Not a bad song on any of 'em.

General Lee, you are looking for Ray Scott. He is the singer of that song. He has a couple other good songs on his CD.

I also have Electric Rodeo in my player. I can't help crank a couple of the songs up, but I feel so immature when I do it. Reminds me of the 16 year old suburban white kid trying to act like he's from the ghetto. Anyways, I really like this CD ton's better than Shooter's last. I am a huge Waylon fan and Shooter is following right in the ranks.

The other CD I have in the player is Hank Willimas 3 "Straight to HELL" this cd is nothing I would play around small children or a very religious mother-in-law. It has many references to Alcohol, Drugs and Women. It is by far his best album yet and he really kicks a** in concert.

Hey I'm probably going to be in the minority here because of my musical tastes....I like mostly Death and Black metal, but I still love Southern Rock OLD country and Black Label Society..which is one of the most bad ass bands ever!

Gonna go with Texas country, southern rock, classic rock, rap...but mainly Texas country like Cross Canadian Ragweed and Honeybrowne. Gotta say Little Big Town sounds really good too, specially their song Boondocks.

For some good southern country/rock Hank Williams III is the best. Big fan of 70 and 80's

70's rock = Thin Lizzy, Rush, Kiss and Led Zeppelin :flag:

80's rock = Van Halen, The Police, Ratt, Ozzy...

Later

MD45 eh...I don;'t think I've ever met anyone who listened to that album. I can't say I've ever really heard anything from it. I'm a huge Dave Mustaine/Megadeth guy, but never really jammed it. Pretty good?

I've been listening to Reckless Kelly as of late. I really like him. He's of the Texas country genre. You heard of him carneyman? I bet you'd like him.

I've also been listening to a lot of Pat Green and Radney Foster lately.
