Adding Sub with line converter question?

Recommended Posts

I am adding some subs to my non-lux bose system. I am not sure on where to wire the line converter in at. In the wiring diagram I found right rear and left rear speaker out wire at the amp, but there are also left and right subwoofer wires shown as well. Where do I wire the line converter to, the rear speaker wires or the subwoofer wires? Thanks.

From directechs

LR Speaker +/- brown - yellow +,- radio harness

RR Speaker +/- dk. blue - lt. blue +,- radio harness

wire it in behind the radio, it makes it much easier to service this way and in 90% of trucks is easier to access than the rear speakers.

I wired it to rear speakers Brn/yel and lt blue/dk blue and I am not getting bass out of my new subs, i get vocals but not any bass.

I finally got it working right. Since I have the Bose system it filters out the bass from the rear speakers and sends it to the center console subwoofers. I wired the line coverter to the left and right sub wires at the factory amp, they located in the smaller connector at the back of the amp in the center console. Left Sub + DK BLUE/WHITE - LT GREEN/BLACK, Right Sub + DK GREEN - LT BLUE/BLACK. It works right now and sounds a ton better than before.
