Instruction with Wester's Tune

Recommended Posts

I am going to order the Wester's Tune next week, and was wondering how clear the instructions were for the installation? Are they pretty straight forward? Or are they written in French and such?

It's very simple. Unhook the battery and swap the computers

The hardest part is trying to figure out how to get the black box open that holds the computer. Once you get that done you just use a small metric wrench (I can't remember what size it was) to unbolt the two wire harnesses and then bolt them to the new one.

7mm (or was it 6mm) if I remember correctly.

It's possible that the instructions are in both languages since it's a Canadian company. Nonetheless, even it's in both languages, the english is still there.

No one speaks French in VA ??

7mm socket (or nut driver) to remove the harness connectors. Just be sure to not lose the gaskets! If the gaskets stay stuck to the computer housing, don't panic. Just peel off and stick them back into the groove in the connector before reconnecting to the new computer. The connectors are color coded and keyed so you can't goof them up.

It will come with instructions (do read them completely before starting!), and it includes the passkey relearn procedure just in case it won't start once you re connect everything. I had to do this on my truck. Takes about 1/2 hour to do, but once done, that's it. Enjoy your extra power.

With the number of immigrants in the area, I'm sure I could find someone that speaks almost any language you can think of! I personaly don't speak french, and in retrospect, I should have use a less common language in the joke, but it's a little late for that! :happysad:

I'm probably going to order this early next week so I have time to install it on the weekend. Thanks for all the help.
