Greetings all,

Just bought a project truck, 1990 Chevy 1500 Sport with 5.7, 5 speed manual. I hear that the 5.7 and manual is a rare combo. Any truth to that? Any idea what the stock hp and tq were on this one? Any idea how to find out if I have a limited slip (posi) rear end?

Thanks in advance

Not really rare per say, just not a lot of people want a manual transmission anymore as the pickup has become more mainstream and less of a utility vehicle.

Stock hp and tq were the same as all the other 5.7's out at the time. Sport was just a trim level package.

And you would have to look at your RPO codes in your glove box to see if you had a posi.
