K&N Filter Kits???

Agreed, waste of money. You will not gain much if any performance, especially noticeable performance with a K&N filter. Unless you drag race alot and have an extremely high performance engine, the gains are negligable and you risk more harm to your engine by filtering much less contaminants. Plus, their maximum capacity is very very low and must be cleaned often to even do the little filtering that they do, do. This isn't logic, common sense or personal experience speaking, (even though they would tell you the same thing) this is a professional ISO5011 test that costs thousands speaking, compared to other filters. K&N DID rate the best on flow, but that's the only thing it rated the best on...

Agreed, don't waste your money. Mine ruined my MAF sensor (no, I didn't over-oil it). Replaced sensor, replaced stock air box now the truck runs better, shifts better (like, when it's supposed to), and is much quieter.

How accurate are the air filter gaugea that come on the Silverado's???

Hell I never go by 'em. I usually open up the box when I change my oil and check.

So far 30Kmiles and still pretty clean.
