oil pressure guage

Actually got to drive my truck today....what a concept, even if it was to just move my horse trailer so I could repack the bearings.

 

Anyway, I notice the oil pressure guage would read 0 then after a bit it would jump over to the max (80?) for awhile then back to 0 then back to max etc. etc.

 

Does this sound like just the sending unit? No low oil lights or warning chimes ever came on. I don't have time to drive it to town to the dealership anytime soon. It pretty much eats up an entire day for me...long drive and I have to just sit and wait for it to get fixed (no loner cars :sigh: ). Is it a pretty quick fix if that's all it is?

 

Going to have to get hay here pretty soon and I'm wondering if I should be concerned or if I can wait for a better time (for me) to take it in to get fixed.
