Question
Razormann
I have a 1994 GMC Sierra that has been having stalling issues. ( You may have seen previous posts...)
Here's the specs:
1994 GMC K1500 K Vin code
350 engine
Auto Trans
4 Wheel Drive
174k Miles
What I am wondering is what exactly tells the the to start and then run. I have problems with the truck mostly at a cold start. It will start right up and the die as if the key has been turned off. If it has been running and i shut it off for a short periond of time it will start and run no problem. Is it possible that the key switch itself is going out? I have jiggled it the best I can while it is running and it doesn't stall. I am convince that this problem has nothing to do with fuel delivery as I have verified that it is good right up until the truck stalls.
Here's what i have already replaced:
Plugs and Wires
Ignition Coil
Ignition Module
Ignition Switch
Fuel Pump Relay
Fuel Filter
Coolant Temp Sensor
Block Temp Sensor
Negative Battery Cable
Alternator
Every once and a while it will shut off while I am driving 70 down the highway, no choking or sputtering it just shuts off.
I also get no codes from the ECM and I have verified that the ECM is not the problem. I seems to me that I have a bad connection somewhere and I am wondering where to look.
Thanks in advance!
