Allright ive located where the leak is i just cant find the part if any of you have had this problem or know the actual name for it please help it is the gasket between the exhaust manifold and the pipes w/converters kind of a triangle shaped gasket supposed to be there im guessing drivers side has one passenger side not so much anyhow if anyone has found one on the net and has the link please share it thanks

Have you tried tightening the bolts holding the two pieces together? That fixed the exhaust leak on our 99 Safari.

 

The gasket was fine, the pieces surrounding the gasket were just loose.

i call it the exhaust donut on the lead off pipe. any parts store should know what you are talking about. or take it to a muffler shop. they shouldnt charge much to replace it.

Here in MS we call it a donut gasket. The gasket is actually round, as the name implies. Easy to change. Remove the 3 bolts and separate enough to get the old gasket out. Take it out easy, sometimes they crumble to peices. Good Luck.

yah thats what i was looking for ive heard that before "donut" just was on the tip of my tongue i dont think tightening it would do anything its all crumbly unlike the other thanks for the suggestions i think i will just take it to a shop and get them both done does anyone know if this decreases milage by anychance milage not bad just hoping to get it up at any chance haha thanks again guys
