A/C Water sizzles when I shut the motor off

When I park and turn off the ignition on my 2003 GMC Yukon 4WD 5.3L, 58,000 miles, the drain water from the A/C makes a sizzling sound as if the water drip is hitting an exhaust component. It did not do this in the past and started about 3 months ago.

 

Should I be concerned? Should I get it fixed? If so, can I do it myself?

If it's a new noise, I would check the evaporator drain hole and see if it is plugged. New noises mean simething has changed.....check it out.
