Corsa: Sport vs. Touring

Hi guys, I've narrowed my exhaust decision down to a Corsa, but I can't decide between the sport and the touring. On their website, they both sound pretty much the same. I was wondering if there would be any difference in power gains with the two. I want something that doesn't drone, yet has a nice throaty/race car type sound. I do not want that raspy red neck cherry bomb sound. I have heard some on here say the sport is pretty loud. I want it to sound good, but I don't want to wake the neighbors everytime I leave the house. Thanks, all help is appreciated.

I'm looking at getting a Corsa system too. I sent Corsa a e-mail with pretty much the same question you have. I have the LQ9 6.0 and I didn't want something that would shake the neighbors windows when I started the truck, I just wanted some with a richer exhaust note than the stock exhaust. When they e-mail me back with their suggestion I pass it on to ya.

Ihave had the corsa Touring on my 2000 1500 Ext Cab 5.3 4x4 for two years Love it. I Junked A Magna Flow system that Put a reasonance in the cab that would give you a head ake after 10 minutes. magnaflow customer service said tuff if you don't like it go buy some other exhaust.

Have the sport on my truck. Its a good bit louder in a good way IMO. Go for the sport!!

The touring muffler has a small amount of Dow Corning packing material in the end to quiet it down. The sport has nothing in it but some baffles. So overall the Touring kit will be alot quieter. These are stright through mufflers!!

This gives a good idea of what the sport muffler looks like inside. Not exactlly what it looks like now but close.

I had a Corsa on my 95 Vette and it was nothing short of incredible. There was a guy on ebay recently who needed to move some Corsa systems and I picked one up for my new 2006 K1500. I couldn't resist for $400 (or there abouts) shipped. I notice no performance gains (I also have the K&N intake). Sound wise it is very similar to the one I had on my Vette in that it growls at idle, is quiet at normal cruise with no resonance, but put your foot into it and it roars! It actually may be just a bit too loud tho if you drive alot of hills or mountains and the engine is frequently kicking down a gear.

I just bought #14270 Sport Cat Back Dual Exhaust with Twin Tips. I love it. The sport exhaust sounds more racey. the touring sounds more mellow. i did the install with 2 friends in less than 3 hours (i broke one of two bolts - had to punch it out). it wont wake the neighbors when you start it up... it goes high for a second then idles well... if you dont GET ON IT when you leave, you wont have a problem. when you GET ON IT, its loud. but sounds great.
