2000 5.0L doesn't run

Hi everybody,

 

I have a 2000 GMC SAVANA 2500 with a 5.0L V8 that no longer runs. Before it completely broke down, the engine started yet it had no power at all, it could not even move across level ground. Now it is back in my warehouse where it is retired from service after 6.5 yrs of service and 225000 miles. Anyway I was hoping to fix it since it is only taking up space at my place. I tested the fuel pump and it tested fine (it was replaced a month before the breakdown). The transmission leaked out all of its fluid while sitting in my warehouse (after the breakdown) so I am not ruling the transmission out of the picture but it too had been replaced 2 months ago. Right now I just want to get the engine started again and then move on to solve the other problems. Recently when the truck had been working, the truck was knocking and the engine would sometimes die when first driving it after sitting over night. It would also do this after sitting for a while. Now I cannot even get the engine started. Could this be a sign of bad injectors? Also could my low power problems be caused by a bad catalytic converter (enough to stop the truck from moving completely)?
