Knock sensor and warranty?

Got the knock sensor problems resolved. The service department said that a rodent had chewed the wires. Rep states that this is normally not covered under warranty. I agreed, but had the rep look up the history on the truck. Sure enough, before I bought the truck (NEW) the dealership had replaced insulation under the hood. It was documented as "destroyed by rodent". This means that the rodent that ate my truck.....is not my rodent....its the dealers rodent. They did not charge for repairs. Makes me wonder if anything else has been destroyed.

 

Also, it says they repaired the wires. I am curious how they did the repair. Sounds like they just taped the wires together. Here are the notes...............
