Performance Mods help

Just got my brand new 06 silverado 1500 4X4 with the 5.3l in it. Still breaking her in right now but i would like to ask the people of this forum what are the best modifications to get more power out of the engine and who makes the best products.

 

I've been looking at intakes, mass air flow sensors, cat back exhausts, shorty headers and programmers but with so many on the market today its hard to pick one, and they all say they are the best. More than likely I will be doing a combination products so I could really use the help. Also with the programmers can you only reprogram your computer so many times? So if you can please give me all the information you can on any or all of these products.

Most cost-effective performance enhancement that you'll do.

Exhaust mods...many say there is no increase, but it'll sound good at the very least!

Custom PCM tune is the best bang for the buck (proven HP & TQ). Air and exhaust mods 'sound' good but but nowhere near the bang for the buck as a pcm tune.

The best thing is a computer programmer expensive but well worth it huge difference in hp and trq but which one is the question i did a lot of home work on this and super chips was the best bag for your buck.
