ZERO to HERO

Well got the racer put back together. Felt fast in Hot laps. Started on the pole of my heat. With 2 to go I get hit in the back and spun. Sent us to the back. I finished last cause, well last week hurt and I didn't want to push it. As luck would have it they inverted the field and I started outside pole. Had the lead on lap 2 and pulled away. 2 cautions later I'm nervous as hell. (remember I spun in front of everyone last week) I was challenged a bit over the last couple of laps but won by 3 or 4. Two wins two crashes. I hope this isn't a trend.

2 more wins since.

the nick name has stuck

and I have a new trophy girl

4 wins so far this year. Points leader has 5 wins 2nd place has 6 wins 3rd has 3 and I have 4 with 4 more races to go. If only I hadn't missed 2 races and wrecked in the heats twice. Points could be closer.

In the Dwarf division, it was all the James Yount show, leading from start to finish to take home his second win in a row! James started in the fourth spot but gained the lead on the first lap over Monty Baker, until Kevin Brewer coming from the rear of the nine car field to take over second on the 8th lap. Kent Guthrie and Doug Bullington battled it our for a few laps with Doug coming in third and Guthrie fourth, Monty Baker fell to fifth. Kent Kantor held the sixth position from start to finish. Mike Evans came in seventh. The #40 of Fred Baker left the track on the second lap, and Rick Quinn exited the field on lap 10. Doug Bullington and Kevin Brewer were the heat winners.
