Allison Transmission Test Track

Well Allison transmissions isnt to far from me (about 5 miles). Went downtown and turned over there today and noticed they have a test track. A bunch of heavy duty larger trucks (tow trucks etc), buses, and they had a 3500HD Dually. Looked pretty neat would be cool to see them test some things.

 

Yea it was an exciting morning. Wish I had my camera. Went bike riding downtown went to put the bikes back in the truck stepped on the bumper (tailgate down) and slipped off and hit my shim on the bumper. Nice bruise.

I've done the "step on the bumper with the tailgate down and fall on my butt" thing also!! It dosen't feel good

Hey,next time your down by the Allison plant take some pisc and post them if you can.

I'm only a few miles away from the Getrag gear & axle plant here,but the test track is hidden in the back,you can't see anything.

We do get some of their "test" cars in the dealeship to work on,Corvette's,Cadillac CTS's,Trucks,etc.Man they do get beat!!
