Which 1500 configurations do you see in your area?

What types of 1500s do you see the most of in your area?  I see a lot of reg cab long beds around here in northern WV along with tons of ext cab short beds.   I noticed you see numbers of different types of truck depending on where you're at.   Around here it's really rare to see a reg cab short bed, but I noticed when I travel farther south in the state there are alot more reg cab short bed trucks and less ext cabs.   I think most of the reg cab long boxes are base models which folks are buying as cheap work trucks.

The availability of certain trucks on lots must be due to marketing data from GM.  For example there are very few 2wd pickups around here but when I was in Florida a few months back about half of them I saw were 2wds.   Actually saw an ext cab long bed 2wd in my town a few weeks ago-that was an atention getter for me since I'd never even seen one before.

In southern Arizona, a lot of 88-98 and 99-02 W/T optioned trucks (4.3L RCab LWB) next in the 88-98 gen EXT 1500 4WD SWB very few 2WD's except in the RCab SWB 4.3L version bunchas.  Current gen EXT 1500 SWB 2WD and 4WD, a little more of the 4WD's with Z71 (but most of the Z71's are lifted.  go figure why they pay so much extra for the sticker and throw away all the Z71 componets and replace it with a lift kit). Otherwise the next majority is the Tahoe/Yukon/Escalade then Suburbans, still a slight distance in count are the Avalanche's with more Escalade EXT's seen than AVA's.  Most of the EXT LWB 2500/3500's are 2WD and have 5th wheels and plates from the north.  HD'S are around as Duramax's most seen have definite used look about them, but seems to be a lot more Ford's or Dodges and they don't look used.

I would have to say that in mid state NH I see 80% 70% 1500 ext cab short beds probably 80% of those are Z71's the rest would have to be Reg cab short beds and most of those are Z71's as well. Very few Long box trucks up here. 2500's are becoming very popular those also are of the short bed variety.

Mostly Ext. Cab shortbed 1500's 2wd and 4wd about the same

Kinda rare to find a reg cab that is not a work truck or a

stepside 4.3.

I think our local dealers dictate what people have around here.  They don't do too many special orders.

Around here, everyone and their brother has an extended cab short bed (fleetside). I think I've only seen 1 other reg. cab stepside Z71 besides mine.

Around the Raleigh, NC area, 70% new body style extended cab short bed (90% Z71), 20% previous body style extended cab short bed (90% Z71), rest HD crew cab and a few reg cab stepsides.

Alot of Ext Cab Short bed Z71's here! Plus a good amount of reg cab Z71s fleetside and stepside. But either way it goes they are mostly Z71s. I am one if the few Regular cab short bed Base 4x4 trucks with a V8. Nearly 99% of the trucks that looks like mine have the 4.3, I like that though because people get a weird look when I outrun them towing 3000lbs. Also there are alot of people buying HDs that never really had a heavy duty truck before. Until the 99 style came out hardly anyone had a 2500 much less an HD! BTW I hardly ever see a 2wd!

Most of the ones i see around here are ext cab short beds and reg cab long beds. I do see a lot of reg cab shorts but not as many as the others . I am getting sick of seeing these "lowrider" z-71 ext cab short beds.
