2001 1500 20" Rims

Will i have to make any modifications to put 20"+ rims on my 2001 1500 Z-71? I plan on getting 20"s but if i get a good deal i may go bigger like 22"s. What tire size would i have to get in order for it to fit without modification? Thanks

I have 22" on my GMC Sierra 1500 Tire size 275 40 22 which looks good, or 275 45 22.

How much (if any) trimming that's going to need to be done is more dependant on outside tire diameter, rather than what size the wheels are.

 

My '02 needed to be trimmed with 285/75/ r16's on there.

when u say trimmed, u just mean the plastic valence under the bumper right? Not the actual chrome bumper

Ok, just found some nice 22's mounted on 305/40R22 . What do we think about that?
