06 long bed on a 99 chevy truck?

I have a Chevy 99 2500 long bed that previous owner backed into a power pole. I can get a new bed and bumper off a 06 from a truck shop near me for $900.00. Is this doable? Bumpers look identical which makes me think it can happen.

Should be identical man. I think the only difference is the tail light covers.
