Is the header on the 5.3l 2005 (passenger side) supposed to be in two parts. On mine it looks like a big crack between two bolts?

One solid part bud. You got a cracked manifold. Cheap fiz though. Part will cost ya prob round 200 something and labor aint bad, you could probably do it yourself.

Great excuse to change them out to aftermarket headers!

Be carefull though, ive heard the bolts on the manifolds are finiky and can break sometimes. 2005 is pretty new though, u should be able to take them out. It is a good excuse to put some headers on.
