torsion bars, where?

For the life of me I can't find my torsion bars. I've looked 3 times and can't find em. Help.

 

BTW- I have a 2002 silverado, did they not include torsion bars or am I just missing them.

There is one bar on each side of the truck that runs from the A-arm to just behind the tranny crossmember they are about 4 feet long.

Oh they are there!  Now how do I describe where to look.  If you crawl under the truck, center yourself beneath the front doors, there should be a crossmember bridging the frame.  There will be 2 bars running parallel to the frame.  About an inch or so in diameter.  Not sure, I'm sure someone will correct me.  Where tose bars intersect the crossmember there will be a bolt at the "joint".  By turning this bolt, you will adjust the torsion bars.  Hope this helps

Turn the bolts clockwise to raise, counterclockwise to lower.  You must turn each side the same amount or your truck won't sit level side to side.  It is much easier to turn the bolts if the front wheel are off the ground.

Just one more thing.  If your truck isn't 4x4, then it won't have torsion bars.  2wd has coils springs.

Thanks for the info. I have the 2wd. Guess I can't do it. Are there any other ways I can level the front of my truck?
