They're useless paper weights.

I have one in my truck that I've been trying to give away and no one wants it. ;)

Gimmick. Honestly, GM spends hundreds of thousands of dollars in developing the best performing, highest-gas-mileage engines they can...don't you think they would install throttle body spacers from the factory if they gave the performance aftermarket companies claim? Exactly.

Fact is, these spacers can probably be cranked out at a machine shop for less than $10. When the first company sells one for $80, others jump on board and now the consumer has a large number of manufacturers to choose from (making he/she think there must be some truth to the technology).

Now, if you're reading this and thinking, "this guy is just saying this because he thinks he knows everything"...well, no, I'm saying this because a couple of years back I was a sucker and purchased one of these for my '90 Chevy TBI Suburban. Did it give me better milege? NO. Did it increase the power my engine produced? NO...not that seat-o-the-pants could tell.

Save the money on a throttle body spacer and fill up your gas tank...once. :banghead:

Well like a carb spacer they add plenum space to the intake manifold. They will help power at upper RPM on a modified motor with a big cam. On a stock motor i dont think you will notice a thing, just wasted money.

I have used them in the padt on motors with a carb. I had a 350 once that wouldnt run worth crap without a carb spacer in there.
