4x4 service light

my 4x4 service light came on, when i restarted the truck it went off. has anyone had trouble with the 4x4 service light?

Yes I have that problem right now. It is a pretty common problem. Everyone that I have heard have this problem said the dealership replaced the 4x4 switch. I need to get this done soon. If you go to our supporting vendorhttp://www.partszoneonline.com and put in the part # 15709327 that should get you the correct switch you want cheaper than the dealer.

I had the same problem and they ended up replacing my 4WD switch. Works great now!! Silverado Man is correct!!

thanks guys, it was the switch. i tell ya, it about gave me a heart attack when i seen that light come on. my truck just turned 36,500k. they fixed it for free anyway.
