Brake Trouble

I have a 98 k1500 z71...i push the pedal and it is very spongy...the brake light comes on and the truck slows slowly...if i pump it up it will stop like at should but only the right side will lock up...i think this is why it pulls to the right when the brakes get full power....i have bled the brakes twice and also put a new rubber brake hose on the driver side front...still no change...i am thinking i should try replacing the proportioning valve next...i need to get this fixed because if someone pulls out in front of me i am screwed...the brakes wont even squeel the tires when mashed to the floor without pumping. Any suggestions?

I'm presuming you've replaced the pads recently and have bled the brakes properly? Check to make sure your resevoir is full...other than that I'm not sure. Doesn't really sound like a proportioning valve to me, but I'm no brake expert.

Yes pads and rotors were new last year..no air in the lines ran a hole cylinder full of fluid through...at least...and the resevoir is topped off...no leakage anywhere on the truck either.
