Tow Package Question

I've got the truck in my sig with tow package. My question: Does the red +12V wire remain powered all of the time? Wondering if I can use this to run the 12v fridge in my travel trailer while driving.

Turn you ign. key to ON and throw a voltmeter on it.

It is hot all the time so remember to disconnect the trailer at night to avoid a run down bat in the morning. (unlesss you have the isolated dual battery option)

Must be hot all the time. In heavy rains, my brake lights come on, and won't go off until I disconnect the trailer wiring hot lead under the fuse box cover.
