Driver Side Mirror **UPDATE**

I called the local dealer. Yes, I can replace the glass $302.90. The whole mirror is just $100.00 more. People wonder why they call them a "stealership" sometimes. Definitaly going to try a junkyard, ebay, or anything else.

Wow, I hope the $302 includes a tube of KY to ease the pain. Good luck finding one.

And to add something constructive to the discussion...

If you can't find the part locally, or on ebay, try http://www.junkyarddog.com/

You fill out the information for the part you need, and they send a request to a bunch of salvage yards. The yards that have the piece you need will email you back with a price.

I used the service to find an alternator for my 1990 Eclipse. I didn't want to spend $140 (Cheapest I could find locally) for an alternator for a car that has 200,000 miles on it, and is rarely used. I had a few dozen yards email me within a couple of days, and I was able to get an alternator for around $30 shipped.

don't know if this will help, but i had a 2000 OBS Tahoe and just the glass broke, and i found a glass shop that had replacement mirrors for 35-40 bucks with installation, took about 10 minutes. Since that was a popular style they had them in stock, but could pretty much order any size/style and have it their the next day.

I too had a local glass shop fix me up. It was on a Jimmy but they cut the glass right there and I glued it in. Check it out. It could save you a bunch.

Good luck

There are plenty of online sights that sell genuine GM parts that are far cheaper than the stealership.

I saw mirror glass for heated and non heated for around $40. I have yet to see the mirror glass replacement for the in mirror turn signals.

You guys have to remember something.....WE DON'T SET THE PRICES ON PARTS!

GM does,I agree though, alot of these prices are outta' sight but we have no control over what prices GM puts on them.

OK,rant over,I'm just sick and tired of people calling us "stealerships"

Replacement mirror glass with the LED is available. A quick search on parts.com shows about $160 for the passenger and $200 for the driver.

I recently replaced the glass on my passenger side mirror (LED style). I bought a used mirror off of Ebay (~$50) and swapped the glass into my original housing. I was just going to swap the entire mirror, but the replacement mirror I bought did not have the puddle light on it, so I just swapped the glass instead.
