wait4me vs westers

I was looking for a tune for my 4.3L 03 silverado and found people to like westers and wait4me the best. I was wondering which you guys would recommend. i was liking wait4me since its only like $158

Probobly the same. Im not sure Ive never looked too hard into Westers, but their probobly very similar.

Ask tbyrne or emai Westers and ask them to defend their price difference. I'd love to find out some more info also.

I've been able to see about every tuners work out there. Westers does better work than wait4me.

Pardon my ignorance....but can someone tell exactly what these wait4me and wester's tuner do.

Also, how do they compare to, say a Hypertech performance programmer.

Pros/Cons?

I am not exactly sure but this is what I do know...They change the programming of the computer (since engines nowadays are controlled by computers(timing,spark,etc.)) to deal with advancing, retarding, amount of fuel, shift points, speed limiter...basically all these are controlled by the computer and you can reprogram the computer to do what you want it to do.

I just ordered my wait4me and I will let you know what it does.

I was wondering the same thing. What is it about Wester's that justifies the price being double. I was going to get a Wester's tune but I am now leaning towards Wait4me. $158.00 with a new PCM is a heck of a deal and I have my stock PCM as a spare.

For a stock truck , Even one with an air intake or dual exhaust teh wait4me tune is a great investment.

To suggest Westers is better cause it is 2x the money is silly,,,the adjustments to the tables that can be adjusted are the same and Westers can not get ya 4mpg more or 100hp more ,,there numbers are = to the ones wait4me claims ..So do the math..

However is you are cammed , bigger injectors , headers, ect ect then go get a Dyno tune and forget mail order >>>
