1997 gmc dually

hello there everyone i am looking at buying a 97 gmc 3500 crew cab dually it has a 350 v8 and a 5 speed in it any ideas what kind of fuel milage i might get just curious

My Dad has a 1998 3/4 Ton with a 350 vortec, automatic, and 4:10 Gears. It gets horrible gas millage. I would say no more that 10 mpg if that. My buddys Dad also has a truck about the same year also a 3/4 ton with the 350 and it doesnt do any better on gas.

 

I dont think i would be looking to buy that truck if your worried at all about fuel consumption.

My '95 3/4 ton has a 350 and an auto and I can pull about 15-16 mpg since I don't tromp on it. My dad's '94 1-ton dually (454, 5-speed w/low & OD, 4.10's) gets about 10-11 no matter what. You probably also have the 4.10 since I think they only offered the 3.73's with diesels in those years, so with that smaller motor and the 5-speed, I'd say you'll pull around 12.
