anyone know what this harness is for?

As the topic states...was in the glove box on delivery. My guess it has something to do with electric brake set up?

IT is the harness to allow the hookup of a Trailer Brake controller. but what it doesnt come with is the fuse that HAS to be installed to make it work.

Its supposed to come with the fuse,His did,you can see it in the upper part of the picture,the little bit of green you see is the fuse taped to the harness with electrical tape.

 

The harness only came with trucks that had the trailering package (RPO Code Z82)

Also,for whatever reason,GM didn't include the harness in the '03 model-year.

I've got an '04 2500 and all I got was the 7 to 4 pin trailer harness adapter with mine. I didn't get no stinkin' brake controller cable!
