Little boxes in wheel wells?

I hav a 1996 K1500 SLE Z71 and was wondering what those little boxes in the wheel wells with the wiring harnesses going to them were for? They are also a couple farther back on the frame I believe.

I am not sure what boxes you are talking about. There are speed sensors behind the rotors, other than that, I cannot thing of what you are refering to. Do you have pics?

If I didn't know better I would say they could be recievers for a TPMS or some sort of gyros for a Stability system. Neither of which my truck has. I believe there are another two aft, not in the wheel wells, but farther back under the cab.

 

Edit: yeah, thats power steering fluid. Gotta replace the gear in a little while, but its not leaking very fast now.

Those are your air bag sensors.
