B33tl3 Posted October 5, 2006 Posted October 5, 2006 After my 2002 Sierra was totaled in a head-on collision Pics I went shopping and found a great deal on a new 06 1500HD. I was looking for a 2500HD with the 6.0 but they were hard to find and this truck was loaded. Of course now I want to give it a better stance and run some 285's on it (daily driver in Atl). The torsion keys are barely cranked so I have some room there. Looking at 2500HDs it looks like they have body lift on them compared to the 1500Hds. Is this the case? I found Lift Kit Has anyone used this? I don't want a large lift because I use the bed of the truck and it's a daily driver. I am open to suggestions.

The lift you found is a body lift that will lift the body off the frame 3". This is a "looks" lift that will allow use of bigger tires, but does nothing to the suspension. If you get this spend the few extra $$ and get the gap guards too so you don't see the gaps in the wheel wells. If you want to level the truck with the torsion keys consider new, longer front shocks and definitely GET A FRONT END ALIGNMENT IMMEDIATELY!
