No voltage reading on guage

Hey people a newbe here, I did a search but nothing came back, so I'm asking.

03 2500HD 8.1 LT Crewcab the voltage guage just went out, no warning just died.

I checked fuses, couldnt find a specific one for it. test lighted all of them at interior and engine fuse blocks, all good.

Battery is good, Alt is charging acording to my tester. No check eng light.

Any ideas? I don't have a book for the truck. Anybody with a wiring schematic.

I can see a little movement looking at the needle from an angle at key on and start-up almost like the needle is stuck at 9 volts.

If I have to pull the cluster is there any hidden screws or something to getting the trim off?

The cluster comes out very easily. Just pop the bezel/trim off (putting the truck in low and setting the e-brake and dropping the tilt wheel will give extra room). Then just 4 small bolts hold the cluster in the dash. The wire harness plugs in the back of it.
