Blower control switch-Window Regulator

2001 Silverado

 

I'm new to this forum, and I wish I found this site earlier. In the last two weeks my 5 speed fan control is now 4 speeds (no low speed #1) and my Passenger side power window will go down but does not want to go up. I purchased a blower control switch cluster (Fan Speed-Temp Control and Air flow direction) and the passenger side window regulator. After searching the forum archives it seems like it is the resister block that I should have purchased instead of the fan switch to correct the fan problem. I have a few more questions.

 

1. How do I get at the resisters? (how do you remove the glove box?)

2. Since I already purchased the blower control switch cluster, how do I remove the instrument pannel to install this (just incase it is the switch and not the resisters)? I'm going to purchase the resisters tomorrow.

 

If these topics have been disussed earlier please point me to the thread.
