For the 2007 900 trucks, does the LMM replace the LBZ? Not a very long run if so. I noticed a 5 HP and 10 ft-lb increase according to the GMC website. What (besides emmisions) will the differences be between the LBZ and the LMM? Is this going to be a disapointment like the LB7 to LLY change? "If it aint broke, don't fix it".

I think you've hit the nail on the head - LMM will be a cleaner running diesel for ULSD and other EPA mandates. I believe it will be marked as a 2007.5 build available in January? This EPA stuff is going to be a real experience for us. I think I'll keep our LB7 and 6.0 PS for many years as backups to any new diesel I buy in 2007. I'm going to miss the diesel cackle and black smoke that these newer trucks won't be producing.
