what tranny

hi all i just bought a 1992 chevy C1500 that originally had a manny tranny in it but the previouse owner blew it and replaced it with a th350. my question is, what tranny was the original, or were can i find this info. i searched this website and another truck forum along with the chevy website with no luck

Well, my buddy's 91 K2500 has a 700r4 so that might be what it had originally.

thanks for the reply but nah, the 700r4 is an auto tranny

im lookin for the manual tranny
