Advance Versus Fold-A-Cover

Anyone have any input. Also will they work with sprayed bedrails well? Should I just not spray over the rails if I intend to buy one of these??

I have over-the-rail Line-X with a Fold-A-Cover tonneau. The combination looks great and I could not be happier. This is the second short bed Silverado that I've had my F-A-C on and it has never leaked a single drop of water.

I know absolutely nothing about the Advance tonneau, but can tell you that my Fold-A-Cover had given me four years of superb service.

Both my Dad and Father-in-Law have the Fold-a Cover and they love them. Never a leak and realy easy for them to use. Just wish I would have known about them before gettting my Black Max.

Thanks, guys. Do you have to do something to make the seals stick to the Line-X? How does that work? Also, I've heard that the FAC doesn't really lock the tailgate very well, and that you should buy a tailgate lock. That true?

The frame is held down by gizmos in the stake pockets. There is some kind of seal-foamie in the bottom of the frame, so sealing is really good. The sealing is not by sticky, but by compression.

Lock the tailgate? The FAC closes over a heavy phenolic resin strip that is full-width of the tailgate. This creates a serious tailgate lock. Trust me, if the back FAC panel isn't open, or at least lifted, the tailgate is totally secured.
