I am curious. I have a 2004 Z71 Silverado and i was curious, without any lifts or leveling kits...what is the largest tire size i can put on my truck and not rub the wheel wells when i turn or bounce around (well, seriously rub the wells when i bounce). I am thinking about trying to fill in the emptiness of the wheel wells but don't want to put a lift into it.

I believe it's a 285.

That's what I've heard, my co-worker has 285's (285-75-16) on his truck they're just a hair taller than 31 inches when measured on the truck. Probably closer to 32 with no weight on them.

I have had 265-75-16's on 2 trucks. The 2000 regular cab Chevy Z-71 rubbed in reverse...my 2005 crew cab Z-71 have the same tires with no rubbing. I think it will have something to do with the tread types too. All of mine were A/T's

BTW, just found the forum, this is nice to have.
