Neutron Posted November 5, 2006 Posted November 5, 2006 I keep getting told by the service person at the dealership that if I don't answer "Completely Satisfied" then he gets a cut in pay. I don't believe it to be true, but just for sake of curiosity, is it?
Clavin78 Posted November 5, 2006 Posted November 5, 2006 Hey being in the military I know how to do surveys (we call them evals). If you are not COMPLETELY SATISFIED, do not mark completely satisfied. Even if he did everything right and made you feel good, but you felt there was just something really, really, really, really, really (get the point of how small it can be) just not right, do not mark completely satisifed. It is his job to do the best he can, take constructive criticism, improve on his mistakes, and make it better. Do not feel bad because he "gets a pay cut," its his fault, he should have done his job better.
SilveradoLAX7 Posted November 5, 2006 Posted November 5, 2006 First of all, I don't think the service rep should be telling you how to fill out a survey...It kinda defeats the purpose of surveys. Secondly, if you forked out money for a service that left you unsatisfied, the guy should get a pay cut. -Jay
SoCalChris Posted November 5, 2006 Posted November 5, 2006 This is sort of off topic, but I've never received a survey from GM. I didn't get one when I bought the truck, and I didn't get one when I took it in to get the tires replaced. I've also never gotten one on the handful of times I've taken our GMC van in, or when we bought that either. Is everyone supposed to get one each time they go in, or is it random?
Wingnut Posted November 5, 2006 Posted November 5, 2006 I don't know...They've sent me a half a dozen in the last six months or so. Pretty annoying, really.
jwhjr Posted November 5, 2006 Posted November 5, 2006 I've gotten one every time I've been in for service. It is annoying when they are telling you how to fill them out. Do your job, and you will get the survey result you're looking for!
mmmikkke Posted November 5, 2006 Posted November 5, 2006 If the entire survey is multiple choice with no place to tell them anything, it goes directly into the trash. I don't want to feed somebody's spreadsheet. If they actually want to listen, then I'll talk (or write).

I never knew you were suppoused to get surveys every time you took your truck in. I finally found out when one time they gave me one and I was like, what is this?
