Hi Hotair--The 2007 GMC Denali XL has the 6.2 ltr with 380 hp and 417 lbft of torque.--Frank Sub

The wife wants a Suburban. :D

She must be a country girl and like the plain and simple life. I had to talk mine out of an Escalade & get the Denali. (I'm cheap) It is really impressive when you mash the go pedal and the 45 - 85 mph for passing is great - especially when you realize how much weight you are moving. I bet if you get her in a Denali XT she'll like it.

The 6.2L is only available in the Denali & Escalade, but the 366-horse 6.0L with DOD and VVT has been available as a Suburban/Yukon XL/Avalanche 1500 option for well over a month now, and several are out and about at dealers and on the road.

I'm in the Avalanche club, and several people there have bought 6.0L equipped trucks, and say the difference is not only quite noticeable, but that the 5.3L just seems weak in comparison. A lot has to do with the mandatory 4:10 gears with the 6.0L option, but it definately puts out more power as well.

It's available only on LT3 and LTZ Chevys, and top level SLT GMCs.

You CAN'T, however, get it with Z71 packaged Chevys , at least not yet.

Let me know how that goes. Im getting a 2007 with the L76 367HP 6.0, Im going to have a hard time not dropping some "help" on top of it!

The Whipple in my 2004 5.3 Suburban was awesome, but totally trashed the drivetrain.

I had the Magnacharger on my 2004 Escalade 2wd 5.3L and never had problems with it, the drivetrain held up with no problems for 35000 miles, including about 2000 of those pulling a double axle trailer with my Corvette on it (about 5000 pounds total) I removed it and will install it on my Sub. Magna in Ventura CA will do it for us, the Sub is a 2007 SEMA project vehicle.. for our compny lovecars.com

I live about 3 miles from Magnacharger and when I inquired about them putting a Supercharger on my Suburban they said "NO!" before I could finish asking my question...

I went with the Whipple cause of the conversation I had with them. :chevy:

Actually they do not do installs normally, they only do for researcha and development. They are always real busy with R&D for the big auto manufacturers. Like TRD, GM and Ford.

The Eaton superchargers are used by most auto manufacturers because they pass the durability tests of the OEM's

That's why we like them.

Is your truck going to be their 2007 R&D vehicle? I checked on the 2007 superchargers a few weeks ago. They said sometime after the 1st of the year.

I don't know, but they told me they needed a couple of parts that were different. I took the Supercharger off my Escalade, we were sponsored by them for SEMA, this one will also go to SEMA. It could very well be the R&D vehicle..
