Whooooo!!!!

All I have to say is...O-H, I-O!

hopefully you dont do all three.

The best piece of advice I can give you is do what you want to do. Dont do something you dont like or dont want to do.

I.e.- dont go into business just for the money.

I know, I know it sounds stupid. Dont try to make as much money as possible.

But life is worth much more than money, like happiness.

ANyways, what would you do with all that money when you are dead?

I have a BS in Business Admin with a minor in Accounting. I can not stand to be tied to an office. I work for the "Can you hear me now?" land line company (not cellular). I don't regret the schooling. I can always get a job with some kind of business. Good Luck in your decisions...

I did a three yr tech school course while in high school they were going to pay for me to take one of the ase test, but I never did it. I just never like the atmosphere of a repair shop. Worked in one as my first job. I finished highschool and took two yrs of crimanal justice with a few enviromental classes (going to be a NRP) money ended that one, I need 4yrs for the degree. School is expensive. I ended up just recently landing a job as engineering technician. Basicly I go out make sure commercial building are built right. Lots of standing around being the bad guy and paper work, Its fun though I like being in control and I get to drive alot. like 300+ miles a day so it is cool. You never know where life will take you but have fun and find something you enjoy to do as a job...personally as soon as me and my wifey get her horse business going good I am going to just hangout and work on the farm and play with my toys.

In my senior year of college right now...studying physics/pre-engineering/math/astronomy... boils down to 1 major (physics) and three minors. Takes over my life but oh well, I enjoy it pretty good. Just do something you know you will enjoy (but is still legal).

thinking about going to wyotech supposed to be a good school any feedback

My cousin went there. Got a job right out in dallas with Peterbuilt, and he really liked it. Said the winters kinda sucked though cause it was hard to go anywhere in his little truck (he had a little ol nissan 2wd).

I'm a sophomore Computer Engineering Technology major at the University of Houston. I really enjoy it. The classes are pretty difficult and it keeps me tired basically all the time.

Don't do engineering unless your really good at math and love the work. I'm an average math student so I picked Engineering Tech.

I started school at a junior college, and its definatly the way to go. So much cheaper, and kinda helps the transition a little bit.

My degree is in Building Construction Management from Purdue. One thing I can say is do your research on where you want to go to school. You can always get student loans to cover costs you can't come up with immediately. I know that the loan amounts have gone down in recent years, but there are always grants and scholarships available too. I did about a year of research before selecting Purdue for my BCM degree. They have one of the top programs in the country for construction, and a 99% placement rate. Right now, I work for Centex Construction (Commercial), based out of DC. I'm working on the Dulles Airport project, and will be for the next 2 years. The traffic sucks here, but the work environment is great. I will second the money issue. Do not go into a field that you are unsure about only because you can make some bank. Do what you love to do, and the money will follow. And keep in mind, no one will pay you $100K/year right out of school.

im a finance major and computer information systems minor at university of miami. i go here for free because my mom works at the school. but tuition here is something like 32 grand a year! i would have loved to do engineering but all those math classes would be torture, not that im bad in math, just those classes are serious. in the business school you just got to take "business calculus" and 2 statistics course, easy. i dont think tuition for private schools is worth paying though, except maybe for harvard or upenn or some ivy league school where you make $80,000 your first year out.

So in other word, it isn't what you know but who you know? :D

3 years to retire from the Air Force and don't have a clue what I want to do. I don't want to stay in the aviation field. One more class and I will have my B.A.S. in Buisness Managemet, accounting II is all I have left. Not looking forward to that. You youngin's got it easy, I have to relearn all over again. :D

Actually, there are quite a few jobs where you can make $100k/year or more right out...it just takes a lot of work in school to get that. I expect to be making close to that after I graduate based on the sole fact that engineers are in high demand, especially "home-grown" engineers. There seems to be a big push for the US to produce more engineers, and so the incentive is growing.

Course, it all depends on how you do during school and if you plan on going to grad school too. And there is always wingnut with his pimp business... :D
