Hello,

I have a 2006 Chevy Silverado 1500 w/the bosse system. Im in the proses of installing my system and bypassing the bosse. I got my nav installed and working but i cant seem to find the Speed sensor wire the nav will work with out it but its nice to have hooked up. So my question is there a wire in the main radio plug & if so what is the color of the wire. Also does any one know were i can find a wire for the reverse lites.

Thanks for any help

do you have onstar? you did say bose right? and what about xm? anyhow. behind your radio you should have two harnesses. a large one which feeds power and what not to your HU, then a small one which is genereally your onstar, xm, and stuff. if you have this harness look at it from the back from where the wires go into the harness and you should see 4 letters on each corner. one will say F i believe. and in the E position of this harness should be your VSS! now if you happen to not have a vss there then you will have to get it at either the gauge cluster or at the BCM which is going to be a box in front of the drivers side headlight. and if your trucks wiring is like mine an 03, then the color you should be looking for is a green with white stripe. are you installing a factory nav or an aftermarket? i get so many people doing the factory nav i forget people are doind aftermarket too. now the reverse wire on your should be beneath the steering column. you will have to take off the cover below the steering column, you should see mabe 4 or 5 harnesses there different colors. i think the one you need will be in the balck harness, and i think its the light blue wire. but not 100% positive. but it is in the black harness. just test them and youll find it. its not hard. umm. does that about cover it? alright good luck then!

hello

I dont have onstar or XM :) so i'll have to get it from the Cluster when i pull out the cluster and look at the connector there are 3 green/white wires there you dont happen to know the pin loc. Im Installing an after market Alpine IVA-W200 & NVE-N872A system from my old truck

Thanks

It is pin A4(4th from the end), green/white at the cluster...

When you say at the cluster, are you refering to the gauge cluster wiring harness?

Stupid question I know but I am new to GM trucks...

Another related topis here----

I have installed the lux-NAV into my 05 Sierra Denali and after a while -figgured out that I HAVE NO VSS WIRE....

OK- so i find on here the schematics for an xl denali showing the nav but funny the sierra deanli does not show it at all...

I know that I am looking for a drk green with with white stripe and that I may need to pick up on it from cluster or somewhere else.

I need a schematic of the instrument cluster connector and/or more details on the VSS splice. Also, what and /or where do i need to do about back-up and wiring

2nd note---my direction/heading "circle/arrow" on Nav always points 1 direction. does fixing VSS issue fix this too?
