dual exhaust and drop in filter

hey guys i did dual exhaust from the front of the bed straight out the back with each pipe at 2 1/4 in. 3 1/2 in. tips and a drop in k and n filter. what can i expect out of this once i take the topper off....horse power gain, torque, and quickness? what do you think the #s are. also i have 20 in rims with 275-55-20 tires (michelin LTX) to put on for summer will i be slower with them on. my truck is a 2004 z-71 ext. cab. i want to be able to beat atleast the new f-150s no problem. let me know what you guys think thanks

If anything, you lost more power than you gained. A drop-in filter will do next to nothing. Now, the dual exhaust might have gained you several horses at high RPMs, but it would also have lost torque at lower RPMs.

so you think my truck is slower then it was b4. i always thought exhaust would help alot. and i didnt go to large of exhaust all i did was the mufflers are gone still have cats. anyone else have an opinion? thanks for your opinion

I think if I added a 75 shot to my truck I'd be in the mid/low 14's :lurk:

 

 

 

 

OMG he has all those mods and that is all he could muster was a low 15?!!!!

4.10 gears, jet chip, cam, headers, no cats, y-pipe, intake AND A 75 SHOT? Did he do the entire 1/4 in 3rd gear or what :D

lightnings and harleys are very fast. both are supercharged. they both muster up 13's stock if driven well. the torque in the harley is amazing.

i got beat pretty bad at a stop light with my dads 2000 reg cab 5.7 L 2wd truck by a f150 fx4...but i think my truck is quite a bit faster than my dads

Granted most trucks arent built for racing, but you should be able to toast a F150.

 

I knew lightnings were 13 second trucks stock, but everytime I try google searching for Harley f150 times, I can never find a stock or somewhat close to stock time. I think I'll just let them pass me :lurk:

 

I'd really like to have all the mods that guy has on the F150 forum, headers 4.10's intake nitrous, it would be nice :D

 

Found that site, it is F150online.com, but the guy I quoted has a V6 F150. He seems pretty proud of it, he's got his time all over the drag strip section.

i didnt think the 5.4 tritons were all that slow but i could be wrong. harleys are very similar to the lightnings except they are heavier because of rims and the cab. they can smoke tires without using the brake pedal

AAAANNNNDDDD.

 

I was beat from a stop light by one, which was 6 years newer than my truck, if I had more distance I would have caught it though, I was gaining very quickly, the off the line torque is what got me.

first off i hate ford...but i have to say that guy id full of crap... with those mods he should be in the mid to low 14's....if he is a regular cab or an ext cab he is probably making the same power as a harley davidson..they only run 9 psi with the FI...that 75 shot plus tune and 4.10s would match him up with it....you could run with the ford's if you dont think so take it to the track and get some times......i plan on doing it after x-mas after the cai..already got corsa exhaust...once i get some times i will post them...running 06 5.3 silv cc....
