My cruise and locks do not work, a friend told me there is a computer board under the steering column that goes out.........anyone know of this? Thanks

Above your steering column is a black box housing the cruise unit - these can die and need replacing. The dealer will want twice as much as having an aftermarket cruise installed.

Actually. The board your looking for is probably the control module on the firewall. I had the exact same problem (along with windshield wipers) and that was the fix. There is a little plastic box on your firewall towards the driverside. The board just comes out and plug the new one in. It cost me about $10. Wipers and Cruise are on the same board, hence why my wipers would not work.
