Pioneer AVIC-Z1 Installation

I was considering upgrading to the AVIC-Z1 as my 2006 GMC Sierra 2500HD came with the base radio/cd. I like the features on the AVIC-Z1 but am concerned about steering wheel controls. The local installer says they will work but is not sure if all features will work (ie call mute/answer, song advance on the disc ect.). Does anyone have this unit with factory steering wheel controls? Any feedback? Any other recommendations for a dual tunner DVD/CD/Nav system, XM compatable and bluetooth?

You can purchase a steering wheel interface that you can program the buttons to do what you want, I did not try the phone functions because pioneer has an echo issue with the bluetooth (www.avic411.com for more info)!!
