Can't figure out miss on 02 Chev

My 02 chev 5.3 has a miss at idle and will pop in the exhaust when you mash the gas. No check engine light. My tech hooked up a scanner and it shows it will miss on all 8 cyls randomly. I put new plugs and wires and a fuel filter on it this summer. The truck seems to run fine at highway speed. When you stop at a light you can fell the miss and see it in the tach slightly. Any ideas?

Sounds ignition related but it could also be one cylinder going lean (clogged injector, etc.). You need to nail it down to a specific cylinder. I don't know what kind of scanner was used, but our Tech 2 will graph individual cylinders and you can usually tell what cylinder is the culprit. That will help to narrow in on the problems.

 

You could do an injector balance test, and that might reveal a clogged injector.

I saw on the scanner readout that the miss was skipping around from cyl to cyl. In 10 minutes it missed on every cylinder
