6 disc cd changer am/fm stereo-bose or non bose?

Looking to upgrade my '07 silverado classic single cd player (non bose-i think) to a 6 disc CD Changer AM/FM Stereo. Is there a non-bose and a bose version? If so, what are the differences between the two? Can I use the bose without a factory amp? Which would sound better? I plan to add aftermarket amps later. thanks rongstad
